Question: Can Team Carolina Practice in Raleigh? Answer: YES!

CAHA Amends Tier I Restrictions

On March 3, 2015, Team Carolina was notified by the Carolina Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA) that the Board of Directors approved Team Carolina’s request for renewal of Tier I status. However, this approval was contingent upon the association meeting several new conditions adopted by CAHA, one of which was a restriction from operating in Wake County, North Carolina.

Team Carolina appealed this decision and on April 13, 2015, CAHA adopted an amendment that allows Team Carolina to continue to operate in Wake County, North Carolina. Team Carolina supports this amendment and will move forward in offering a regional program using the weekend model. The weekend model allows all players in North Carolina and South Carolina access to Tier I and the opportunity to participate in a highly competitive and comprehensive development environment. It is our intention to continue our weeknight skill development sessions and weekend team practice rotations in the Raleigh area.

We want to thank our players and families for their patience during this period.
